Where I come from:
Who am I?
- Bill Livingston is an ecologist and educator, & founder of Urban-Eco, Outdoor Science and co-founder of BioBoat (501(c)3).
- Brooklyn boy, raised on urban ecological questions like: Gowanus Canal? and Recycling?
- Greatest love is field study and [mission], introducing students to the outdoors, hands on science, and beautiful & wild places where you least expect them.
- BA in Environmental Studies, Natural Sciences, Middlebury College; MA Curriculum & Instruction, Michigan State University with Michigan State Certification in English and Biology.
Other formatives
- Co-founder of The BioBoat (501)(c)(3) – curriculum based, hands-on science, on a boat, on Jamaica Bay this summer!
- Over 30 years as a classroom teacher, department chair and international school administrator.
- Educated in – and by – ecosystems and peoplesystems in Brazil, Lebanon, Guatemala, Hong Kong and New York.
